The global death toll from coronavirus passed 450,000 as of Friday morning. The death toll now stands at 456,428.
Besides, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases has reached 8,583,838. A total of 4,532,547 people have made recovery from the disease, according to the Worldometer.
Among the countries, the US has been the worst-hit with the highest recorded deaths of 120,688 patients and about 2,263,651 confirmed cases.
Brazil counted the second highest deaths after the US as it reported 47,869 deaths from the virus till the date.
The UK has the third-highest death toll at 42,288, followed by Italy with 34,514, France 29,603 and Spain 27,136.
Coronavirus cases were first reported in China in December last year.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
