Professor Dr Mujibul Haque, former director of Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, has passed away after being infected with COVID-19.
The medicine specialist breathed his last around 5:30am on Tuesday at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Dr Rahat Anwar Chowdhury, joint general secretary of Foundation of Doctors Safety, Wright and Responsibility, told the media today.
Dr Rahat said Dr Mujibul with coronavirus infection got admitted to CMH on June 2. Later he was shifted to Intensive Care Unit following his condition deteriorated.
His death shocked the physicians of the country, and they expressed their condolences.
