Hefajat-e Islam Ameer and director of Hathajari Bara Madrasa Allam Shah Ahmed Shafi has been discharged from Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Mawlana A N M Ahmed Ullah, Publicity Secretary of Hefajat-e Islam, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Tuesday.
He said, Shafi has been discharged from the hospital as his health condition improves. Later, he was taken to the madrasa from the hospital around 3pm on Monday.
Shafi was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of CMCH with breathing problems and old-age complications on June 7.
The 103-year-old Allama Shafi is suffering from various diseases due to his old age, including diabetes and high blood pressure. Sometimes these diseases get out of control and he has to be hospitalised.
