A bank official died with respiratory problems in Chattogram on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Gias Uddin, 48, Manager of Bank Asia, of Cox’s Bazar branch.
His younger brother and Chattogram South District Juba League Joint Secretary Borhan Uddin Chowdhury Murad confirmed the death to Jago News.
Murad said, his brother had been suffering from respiratory problems for long. He was admitted to a private hospital on Sunday evening where he suffered from a brain stroke and died around 11pm while undergoing treatment.
His relatives said, samples from his body was tested and the test report came negative.
