University teacher arrested for allegedly mocking Nasim’s death

A teacher of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur has been arrested for allegedly mocking the death of former Health Minister Mohammad Nasim in a facebook post.

The arrestee is Sirajam Munia, Lecturer of Bengali department of the university. 

Police arrested her around 12pm on Saturday after the university’s Registrar Abu Hena Mustofa filed a case with Tajhat Police Station under the Digital Security Act.

Muhibbul Islam, Sub Inspector of university’s police outpost, confirmed her arrest to Jago News.

Earlier, the university’s unit BCL president Abu Monnaf Al Kibria filed a FIR with the police station but police didn’t register his complaint.
