Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder and Trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has recovered from coronavirus.
Tests with the kit developed by the Gonoshasthaya Kendra did not find any trace of the coronavirus in his body.
Dr Bijon Kumar Sil, lead researcher at Gonoshasthaya Pharmaceuticals, confirmed the matter to Jago News around 10:30pm on Saturday.
“He was tested coronavirus antigen-negative and antibody for Covid-19 positive,” a post from Gonoshasthaya Kendra’s verified Facebook page said on Sunday.
“He is currently suffering from pneumonia,” Dr Muhibullah Khandaker, coordinator of the GR Covid-19 Dot Blot project said.
Earlier on May 25, Dr Zafrullah was tested Covid-19 positive with the G-Rapid Dot Blot kit invented by his organisation.
On May 28, he was tested positive for Covid-19 in the PCR test by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) as well.
