Chattogram-8 lawmaker Moslem Uddin and nine members of his family have been infected with coronavirus.
His wife, son and grandchildren are among the infected.
Confirming the matter to Jago News, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram Doctor Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, said the information was confirmed after Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) published results of coronavirus test at 1am on Thursday.
According to source, a team of Boalkhali Upazila Health Complex collected samples of 15 members of the lawmaker’s family from his residence at Lalkhan bazaar on Tuesday. Of them, the test report of 10 people came positive.
Earlier, Chittagong-16 constituency (Banshkhali) Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury along with 10 other members of his family had been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
