Former Sylhet City Corporation Mayor and former city Awami League president Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran, who tested positive for coronavirus, was taken to Corona Isolation Centre of Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital on Saturday.
He was admitted to the hospital around 12pm after his health condition deteriorated.
Kamran’s elder son and Deputy Director of Ragib-Rabeya Medical College and Hospital Doctor Arman Ahmed Shiplu confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said, his father was diagnosed with coronavirus on Friday night. He was admitted to the hospital as he had high fever.
Earlier on May 27, Kamran’s wife Asma Kamran tested coronavirus positive.
