Nasim’s health deteriorates

The health condition of former health minister Mohammed Nasim is deteriorating as he has been suffering from coronavirus.

He is currently undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit of Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital. He was admitted to the hospital on June 1. 

He suffered a brain stroke at 5:30am on Friday. He is currently undergoing surgery under the supervision of neurosurgeon Professor Raziul Haque.

Confirming the matter to Jago News, Al Imran Chowdhury, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, said his health condition improved on Thursday. He was scheduled to shift to cabin from ICU, but he was kept in ICU as an extra precaution.

Mohammed Nasim is the lawmaker from Sirajganj-1 constituency in the present parliament.
