Professor S A M Golam Kibria, former chairman of Urology Department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has died from coronavirus.
He breathed his last at the Intensive Care Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at 12:45am on Friday.
Kibria admitted to the corona unit of the hospital on June 2, said DMCH’s morgue ward master Abdul Gafur.
So far, 18 doctors died from coronavirus, according to the Foundation for Safety Rights and Responsibilities.
As of Thursday, 57,563 people have been infected with virus and out of them 781 died.
