Dr Zafrullah’s health condition not good

The health condition of Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury is not good. He felt breathing problems on Thursday night.

Gonoshasthaya Kendra confirmed the matter in a facebook post on Friday morning.

Dr Jafrullah underwent coronavirus test with the kit developed by Gonoshasthaya which found him to be positive on May 25. Four days later, a RT-PCR test at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) also found him positive for coronavirus.

He is now receiving treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi.

His wife Shirin Parveen Huq and son Bareesh Hasan Chowdhury have also tested positive for coronavirus.
