The Supreme Court (SC) published its full text of verdict on appeal of Jamaat leader Mir Quasem Ali commuting his death sentence for wartime crimes.The apex court headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha published the 244-page judgment after all the judges signed the court order on Monday.The full verdict will be sent to the International Crimes Tribunal later in the day. Earlier, the Supreme Court upheld former Al-Badr leader Mir Quasem Ali’s death sentence for war crimes, paving the way for his walk to the gallows on March 8.The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in November 2014 had sentenced him to death for atrocities against Bengalees committed during the War of Independence from Pakistan in 1971.
