Mirpur has the highest number of coronavirus cases in capital Dhaka, with 614 people caught the disease in the area followed by Mohakhali.
Mohakhali has the second highest COVID-19 cases with 356 people contracted the disease and 315 cases, the third highest number, were recorded in Jatrabari.
Kakrail, Mugda, Mohammadpur, and Rajarbag's number of coronavirus infections neared 300 with cases 298, 295, 288, and 213 respectively.
The hotspots include Bangshal, Dhanmondi, Chawkbazar, Gendaria, Gulshan, Hazaribagh, Shahbagh, Lalbagh, Mitford, Shakhari Bazar, Tejgaon, Uttara, and Wari.
The new figures were found in information provided by the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR).
As of Wednesday, Bangladesh reported 38,292 COVID-19 cases and 544 deaths from the virus. Out of the cases, capital Dhaka alone has 14,348 infections.
