Awami League won 2,670 chairman posts while BNP won 373 in the sixth-phase Union Parishad (UP) election.Besides, Independent chairman candidates won in 880 unions.The voting of the last phase of the six-phase elections was held on Saturday in 689 unions.Election Commission has received the results of 668 union councils in which AL chairman candidates won in 403 unions and BNP in 62. Independent candidates won in 184 unions.
