Quader urges all to celebrate Eid following health guidelines

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today urged the countrymen to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr following health guidelines to help contain coronavirus transmissions and check deaths from the disease, reports BSS.

“Let us celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr peacefully, maintaining mutual brotherly relations, social responsibility, physical distancing and health guidelines aiming to prevent coronavirus transmissions,” he told a virtual press conference from his official residence here.

“This is not our last Eid. Let us wait for a next colourful Eid,” he added.

Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, greeted the countrymen as well as the Muslim Ummah across the globe on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of the Muslims.

“I seek early recovery of COVID-19 patients and expect sound health, peace, advancement and progress. Let us build unity among us with the spirit of harmony, sympathy and brotherhood of Eid to tackle all pandemics, including the coronavirus one,” he said.

The AL general secretary hoped that overcoming the coronavirus crisis, Bangladesh would move towards the expected development and progress under the skilled and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“Like in the past, we would be able to reach the shore cruising through a wide sea under the courageous and kind leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh, Insha Allah,” he added. On the occasion of Eid, Quader greeted frontline coronavirus fighters and those who have been working to rehabilitate the people affected by super cyclone Amphan.
