Posts and Telecommunications minister Tarana Halim on Sunday said Begum Khaleda Zia, chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, didn’t register her SIM biometrically.‘It is a matter of great regard that Begum Khaleda Zia didn’t register her SIM following the instruction of Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC),’ she said.Tarana unveiled the information to journalist after a view exchanging meeting with mobile operators at secretariat.The junior minister said President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, all members of cabinet, chief of staff, secretaries and Sajeeb Wazed also registered their mobile SIM biometrically on due time.Telecommunication Secretary Foyjur Rahman Chowdhury, BTRC chairman Dr. Shahajan Mahamud, representative of mobile operators present at the meeting.
