Noted historian Muntassir Mamoon recovered from the novel coronavirus days after treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for about two weeks.
The hospital authorities announced his recovery on Monday, Bangladesh Itihas Sammilani general secretary Dr Chowdhury Shahid Kader confirmed.
Earlier on May 3, the professor at Dhaka University got admitted at city's Mugda General Hospital after contracted the disease. Later, he was shifted to the CMH for better treatment.
Before him, his 86-year-old mother Zahanara Khan also caught the deadly virus, and won her battle against the pathogen.
