‘It’s a trick to weaken police superintendent Babul Akter who took massive initiative to curb the militants’.In the incident of the murder of Babul’s wife, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said this to the reporters at the closing parade of BGB 88th batch which was held at Boarder Guard Training centre and school at Satkania in Chittagong. He said, ‘We are primarily suspecting that the militants killed Babul’s wife to weaken him mentally’. ‘Babul Akter, recently promoted to superintendent of police (SP), is playing a great role in curbing militancy in the country’, he added.It is mentionable that, Babul’s wife has been shot dead by unidentified miscreants. The incident took place in front of Well Food office in GEC crossing area in the port city on Sunday morning.
