TCB to sell onions at Tk 25 per kg from Saturday: Minister

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling onions at Tk 25 per kg from Saturday across the country.

The minister said this while briefing at his secretariat office on Thursday.

“We have stocked all the goods ten times more than in other years. There will be no shortage,” he said.

He also mentioned that the price of ginger has also been decreased.

The minister said government officers and officers of TCB and Consumer Rights are working hard to distribute all goods in district and upazila level.

“I appreciate them for coming forward to help in this critical time. They have also distributed 50,000 masks beside daily necessities,” he said.

He also informed that the prices of essential goods are within a tolerable range.

The minister said we have enough stocks of essential commodities. We do not face trouble for the commodities in next four months.
