A total of 25 bank staff tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, with 14 newly caught the virus in the past 24 hours.
Among the infected, one died, sources in the banks concerned said on Monday.
Following the detections, the branches of the banks concerned were locked down.
Bangladesh confirmed its first COVID-19 cases on March 8, and since then it has been seeing hike in the number of infections and deaths.
Today the country recorded 688 coronavirus patients, the highest single-day spike, taking the total to 10,143, and total deaths 182.
