The global death toll from coronavirus has reached 244,874 as of Sunday noon.
It has infected 3,497,006 people globally, according to Worldometer, a website which compiles number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.
Of the currently infected 2,125,905 patients, 2,075,037 are in mild condition, which is 98 percent.
Meanwhile, 50,868 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only two.
So far, 1,108,886 people have recovered from COVID-19.
The new coronavirus pandemic first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year.
The World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
It is affecting 212 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
