Youth dies in Shariatpur isolation ward

A youth died in isolation ward at Shariatpur sadar hospital on Tuesday night.

The 34-year-old was a worker, hailing from Naria upazila of the district.

Doctors of the hospital said, he was suffering from fever, cough and breathing problems. He was receiving treatment from isolation ward since Tuesday evening. 

Earlier on March 19, he admitted to the hospital with cough. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis. He left the hospital on March 23.

Doctor Munir Ahmed Khan, supervisor of the hospital, said the youth was kept in isolation ward for having breathing problems.

In this connection, Doctor SM Abdullah Al Murad, civil surgeon of Shariatpur, said samples from the deceased will be collected and sent to IEDCR for Covid-19 test.
