No new coronavirus case detected in 48 hrs: IEDCR

No new coronavirus case has been reported in the last 48 hours, keeping the total number of confirmed cases in the country at 48.

Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said at a press briefing through online at 12:10pm on Sunday.

“In the last 24 hours IEDCR and BITID in Chattogram tested 106 samples. None of them were positive,” she said.

She requested all to follow the instruction of health ministry about coronavirus. 

Bangladesh reported the country’s first death from coronavirus on March 18.

Earlier on March 8, the country reported its first three cases of COVID-19. 

The new coronavirus pandemic, first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year.
