No new coronavirus case has been detected in the last 24 hours in the country. Four more patients have been cured from the disease.
Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said at a press briefing through online at 12:10pm on Saturday.
She advised the people over 60 years old not to go out of home. A total of 3,450 calls about COVID-19 have been received, she added.
So far, 48 coronavirus cases have been detected in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh reported the country’s first death from coronavirus on March 18.
Earlier on March 8, the country reported its first three cases of COVID-19.
The new coronavirus pandemic, first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year.
