Members of the army have been deployed in all districts to combat coronavirus or COVID-19.
Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) said in a statement on Tuesday.
They will work in combating COVID-19 nationwide by enforcing social distancing and other cautionary measures in coordination with civil administration.
Earlier on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Khandakar Anwarul Islam said the army will be deployed across the country from Tuesday to help fight the coronavirus.
Bangladesh on Monday reported its third death from coronavirus and identification of six new patients, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 33.
Bangladesh reported the country’s first death from coronavirus on March 18.
The death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has reached 16,558 globally.
