The new coronavirus pandemic, first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year, kept spreading to newer countries.
The deadly virus spread to at least 188 countries and territories, killing some 13,050 people globally, according to Worldometer, a website which compiles number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.
As many as 308,010 people worldwide caught the virus. Among them, 95,797 people recovered from the virus, the website said.
Just 6 new deaths from the virus were confirmed in mainland China, the epicenter of the COVID-19, taking the national tally to 3,261. And number of newly affected people rose by 46 to 81,054.
European country Italy has recently crossed China's death toll. The epidemic killed at least 793 people in a single day, bringing the total to 4,825. About 53,578 people were infected with the virus, with new 6,557.
As of Sunday, the third worst-hit country by the COVID-19 is US. It recorded 340 deaths with new 84. Infections toll reached 27,069 where new cases 7,686.
Two other European countries Spain and Germany have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Both countries' deaths and infections number are soaring.
In Asia, the deadly virus is affecting Iran badly. The Middle East country confirmed 123 new deaths, totalling the number to 1,556. And confirmed virus cases are 20,610.
Besides, France, South Korea, Switzerland and UK are also struggling to fight the virus.
Neighbour India's coronavirus cases kept continuing. It reported 332 cases, including 83 new ones.
South Asian country Pakistan confirmed 144 new cases, raising the country's tally to 645. The country has suspended all incoming international flights to stem the spread of the new virus.
Bangladesh on March 8 first confirmed its coronavirus cases, and the toll reached 24 on March 21, with two deaths, said the country's Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malik.
Gradually rise of the coronavirus cases in Bangladesh prompted the government to close all educational institutions, put Shibchar, an upazila of the country's Madaripur district, on lockdown, shut down all bars, and impose restrictions on all kinds of political, social, cultural and religious gatherings in an effort to stem the spread of the virus.
In latest move, the country cancelled all the international passenger flights until March 31 with 10 countries to prevent the spread of the virus.
