Coronavirus cases in Pakistan reach 38

The number of novel coronavirus cases in Pakistan have reached 38, with four new ones in the country's largest city of Karachi. 

Meeran Yousuf, the media coordinator to the Sindh health minister, out of the new patients, three had recently returned from Saudi Arabia, while one has no recent travel history, reports Dawn.

The virus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei province in December last year, and later spread to 152 countries.  

It, so far, killed 5,847 people, including 3,199 in mainland China, and infected around 159,620 worldwide. As many as 75,956 people recovered from the virus, according to Worldometer, a website which compiles new case numbers of COVID-19.
