Tamim Iqbal has been made new ODI captain of Bangladesh Cricket team who replaced outgoing skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza.
The decision was taken at the meeting of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) board of directors on Sunday, said its chief Nazmul Hasan Papon.
Earlier on Thursday, Mashrafe made a stunning announcement that he will step down from his role as Bangladesh ODI capitan.
After the post fell vacant, the governing body of Bangladesh cricket started working to choose a player under whose leadership the Tigers will play next days. And finally it selected opener Tamim Iqbal.
