At least four people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Lakshmipur on Tuesday night.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
According to police, six people were injured when a microbus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Lakshmipur-Noakhali regional road at Bottoli area around 7pm. Three people died on the way to Noakhali General Hospital. Another person was declared dead after reaching the hospital.
Jasim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chandraganj Police Station, confirmed the accident to Jago News.
In this connection, Doctor Khalilur Rahman, Supervisor of the hospital, told journalists that four people died in the accident and two others injured are receiving treatment.
