Five Ansar members were killed as a boat capsized in the River Gorautrra at Mithamain Bazar ghat in Kishoreganj around 5 am on Sunday.The deceased were identified as Sabina, Beauty, Hasna, Momena, a resident of Dampara of Nikli upazila.Identity of the other deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
Alomgir Hossen, Officer-in -Charge of Mithamoin police station confirmed the matter to JagoNews24.com that after finishing election duty five Ansar members returning home by a engine powered boat. At one stage the boat sank in the river due to extra passengers.Local peoples in an expedition rescued the dead body of Ansar members.Abu Sayem Mojumder, Additional Police Super (ASP) of Kishoreganj said, the rescue operation is underway.
