NYBB Young Biotechnologists Congress on Feb 20

Network of Young Biotechnologists of Bangladesh (NYBB), originally founded as YoungBB in 2006, is organizing NYBB Young Biotechnologists Congress 2020 for the 5th time. 

The congress is going to be held on 20th February in the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University. 

Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of University of Dhaka is hosting the congress, a press release said.

NYBB is organizing the congress to unite biotechnologists from different parts of the country, create new scopes for networking & collaboration and implant seeds of new research aspects in the minds of young biotechnology students. 

Sir Walter Bodmer, renowned human geneticist and cancer researcher of University of Oxford, will be present in the event as the plenary speaker. 

The participants will be enlightened with knowledge from Independence award winner - Dr. Haseena Khan, Chairman & Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department of University of Dhaka – Dr. Zeba Islam Seraj, Director General of National Institute of Biotechnology - Dr. Md. Salimullah.

To enhance creative thinking and ability to find solutions using biotechnology, competitions such as Research and Poster presentation, Three minute biotech, Interuniversity biotech business idea and biotech photography contest have been organized. 

For the first time in Bangladesh, a Biotech Career Talk Show will be held in congress where participants will get answers of their questions regarding future opportunities, research fields and higher studies.

By registration, any student studying in biotechnology and related departments of universities of Bangladesh will be able to attend the speeches, biotech career talk show and participate in the competition.
