10 people have been killed and 30 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Samaddar on Dhaka-Barisal highway under Sadar upazila in Madaripur on Friday.The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.Police said the accident occurred when a Barisal-bound bus of ‘Shugandha Paribahan’ from Dhaka skidded off the road and fell into a ditch breaking the railing of a bridge at around 3 pm, leaving eight people dead on the spot and 30 others injured.’The injured were admitted to Madaripur Sadar Hospital and Rajoir Upazila Health Complex.Police team of Madaripur Sadar police station and three units of fire service rushed to the spot for rescue operation.
