The elections to six union councils under Damurhuda and Jibannagar upazilas of Chuadanga will be held on May 28.The unions are Karpashdanga, Kurulgachi, Damurhuda and Juranpur of Damurhuda upazila and Andulbaria and Shimanto union under Jibannagar upazila.A total of 36 candidates are contesting for chairman posts, 252 candidates for members while 65 for reserved seats for woman in the six unions.The number of voters in the six upazilas is 1,53,140 including 76,364 female voters.
