Mohammad Ali has been removed as a prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) for breach of discipline and professional code of conduct, and grave misconduct.
The Law and Justice Division on Sunday issued an order removing the prosecutor.
The order comes into effect from today.
Mohammad Ali was appointed as prosecutor of the ICT on October 5, 2011.
Earlier on February 18, 2016, Mohammad Ali was sacked temporarily for his alleged bribe proposal made to a tribunal judge to grant bail to Mymensingh-7 lawmaker M A Hannan in a case lodged for crimes against humanity.
Later, Mohammad Ali was also dismissed barring him from handling all cases.
Allegation was also raised against him of handling criminal cases against the state.
Jeyad al Malum, one of the ICT prosecutors, has applauded the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliament for taking the removal decision against Mohammad Ali.
