Chief prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Golam Arif Tipu has sent letters to three ministries seeking exclusion of his name from the newly published list of Pakistani occupation force's collaborators.
The language veteran sent the letters to Liberation War Affairs Ministry, Home Ministry, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, confirmed prosecutor Sultan Mahmud Simon.
But Simon said the letters are not application of excluding name from the list rather they just sent letter.
Earlier on December 15, the Liberation War Affairs Ministry published a list of 10,789 people who collaborated with the Pakistani occupation force during liberation war, 1971.
Soon after the list was revealed, question grew about accuracy of the list after several freedom fighters' names like Golam Arif Tipu were found in, and the ministry faced huge criticism.
