Rangers post 158-run target for Challengers

With his 78 runs off 54 balls, Mohammad Naim propeled Rangpur Rangers to place a challenging score before Chattograme Challengers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier Leauge’s special edition - Bangabandhu BPL.

They scored 157 runs in stipulated 20 overs losing 8 wickets in the 7th match of the tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The second highest run came from Mohammad Nabi. The all-rounder added 21 runs from 12 balls.

For Chattogram Challengers, KOK Williams and RP Burl took 2 wickets each and Rubel Hossain as well as Mahmudullah bagged 1 each. 

With this match, Chattogram captain Mahmudullah returned to the team. In his absence in first two matches, West Indies allrounder Rayad Emrit led the team. 

Chattogram Challengers started their BPL journey with victory over Sylhet Thunder but they conceded defeat by 8 wickets to Khulna Tigers in the second match.

Meanwhile, Rangpur Rangers, so far, played one match and crsuhed by 105 runs against Comilla Warriors.
