Rajshahi Royals have crushed Sylhet Thunders by 8 wickets to secure their second consecutive victory in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier Leauge’s special edition - Bangabandhu BPL.
With 55 balls remaining, they played 10.5 overs to surpass the latter's low 92-run target in the 5th match of the tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Liton Das and Shohaib Malik scored 44 and 16 runs unbeaten respectively, and Afif Hossain added 30 to propel the Royals to 95 runs.
For Sylhet Thunders, Nayeem Hasan and Naveen-ul-Haq took 1 wicket each.
Earlier, Rajshahi Royals won the toss and sent Sylhet Thunder to bat first.
In batting first, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat led Thunder failed to post a challenging score before Andre Russells' Royals but were all out 91.
For Rajshahi, Alak Kapali bagged 3 wickets of Sylhet for 17 runs and RS Bopara as well as Farhad Reza took 2 each.
