Rapid Action Battalion today submitted a charge sheet against expelled Dhaka South Jubo League president Ismail Hossain Samrat and Vice-President Enamul Haque Arman in a drug case.
Abdul Halim, Sub Inspector of RAB-1 and also the investigation officer of the case, filed the charge sheet to Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Masudur Rahman court.
The court fixed December 15 for the next hearing in the case.
On October 6, RAB arrested Samrat and his accomplice Arman, from the Chauddagram upazila of Comilla, over their alleged involvement in illicit casino operations.
RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwoer Alam sentenced Samrat, under the Wildlife (preservation and security) Act, to six months in prison for keeping two kangaroo hides in his possession.
He was then sent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on that day.
On October 7, RAB filed two cases against Samrat and Arman with the Ramna police station.
Samrat was sued under the narcotics and arms acts, while Arman was sued under the Narcotics Act only.
