By-polls to Chattogram-8 constituency which was left vacant after the death of veteran parliamentarian Moinuddin Khan Badal, will be held on January 13.
The voting will be held through EVMs at all centres of the constituency.
Md Alamgir, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) announced the election schedule at the media centre of the EC in the capital’s Agargaon on Sunday afternoon.
The last day for submission of the nomination papers is December 12 and scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on December 15, the official said.
The last day for withdrawal of the nomination form is December 22.
Veteran politician Moinuddin Khan Badal, MP, passed away at Narayana Health, a hospital of renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Devi Shetty, in Bengaluru, India on November 7.
