Renowned poet and architect Rabiul Husain died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Tuesday morning. He was 76.
He was suffering from blood-related ailment. He was taken to Coronary Care unit of the hospital on Monday after his health condition deteriorated.
Rabiul was the trustee of Bangladesh Liberation War Museum and Liberation War Memorial Preservation Centre. He was also the member of Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee.
His notable books are Kee Ache Ei Andhakarer Ghobhire, Aro Untristi Chand, Sthirbindur Mohon Sangkot, Korporer Danawala Pakhi, Amagna Katakuti Khela, Bhishubrekha, Durdanta and Amnibas.
He got Ekushey Padak Award in 2018 for his outstanding work in language and literature.
Rabiul was born at Shailkupa in Jhenaidah on 1943.
