Huge enthusiasm was seen among the taxpayers and service seekers who thronged the Income Tax Fair at Officers' Club in Dhaka on Saturday.
Like first two days of the tax fair-- Thursday and Friday, there was huge crowd of people on the third day of the fair today.
People were seen standing in long queue as it is easy to pay tax at fair.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has organized the week-long income tax fair with slogan 'Pay tax together, country will be self-reliant'.
The income tax fair is going on at 120 spots in capital Dhaka and country's eight divisions, 56 districts and 56 upazilas. It opens at 9am and ends 5pm.
There are measures of income tax return submission, taking E-TIN, E-payment and E-filing systems at the fair.
Taxpayers can submit income tax through mobile banking facilities such as Rocket, Nagad, Bkash and Sure Cash.
Taxpayers said it is easier for them to pay income tax at fair than any other way.
City's Rampura resident Amedul said, "Although I have to stand in long queue but I will pay tax today as it is easy to pay at fair."
Saying that every good citizen should pay tax, Romana, another taxpayer, expressed her gladness seeing fervor among the people to pay tax.
Meanwhile, record around Tk 802 crore was collected in first two days of the tax fair.
As many as 4.04 lakh people took service from the fair premises.
Among them, about 1.37 lakh people submitted return while 7,968 came under new E-TIN registration.
