‘Bulbul’ weakens; ports asked to lower great danger signal

Maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been asked to lower the great danger signal number 10 but to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 as cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ weakened. 

The maritime port of Chattogram has been asked to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number 3, lowering great danger signal number 9.

Cox’s Bazar port has been advised to lower signal number 4 and instead of, to hoist local cautionary signal number 3. 

An official of Met office confirmed to the Jago News on Sunday.  

Earlier, cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ lashed Bangladesh early hours of Sunday and completed crossing the West Bengal-Khulna coast near the Sundarbans around 5am today and now lying over Khulna and adjoining southwestern part of the country.
