Maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been asked to lower danger signal number seven but to hoist great danger signal number 10 as cyclonic storm 'Bulbul' approaches Bangladesh.
Coastal districts Bhola, Barguna, Patuakhali, Barishal, Pirojpur, Jhalakathi, Bagerhat, Khulna, Satkhira and near islands and chars will come under the great danger signal, said Met office.
The maritime port of Chattogram has been asked to keep hoisted great danger signal number nine, lowering danger signal number 6.
Coastal districts Chattogram, Noakhali, Feni, Chandpur and near islands and chars will come under great danger signal number 9.
Under the influence of cyclone 'Bulbul', gusty wind may sweep from this afternoon at speeds up to about 100 to 120 kilometers per hour. Therewith, heavy or too heavy rain is likely to come down.
The cyclone was centered about 525 km southwest of Chattogram port, 510 km southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 350 km southwest of Mongla port and 375 km southwest of Payra port at 6:00am on Saturday.
