BUET student Abrar buried in Kushtia

BUET student Abrar Fahad, who was beaten to death allegedly by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists of the university unit, was buried in his hometown Kushtia on Tuesday morning. 

An ambulance carrying the body reached the town from Dhaka around 5:30am. 

Hundreds of people attended the second namaz-e-janaza of Abrar held in front of Al-Hera Jame Mosque at 6:30 am.

Later, Abrar’s body was taken to his village home at Raidanga village in Kumarkhali upazila at 8am where he was buried at his family graveyard after the third namaz-e- janaza there.

Earlier, police arrested nine leaders and activists of BCL in connection with the killing of Abrar on Monday and his father filed a case against 19 BCL men with Chawkbazar Police Station.
