The installation ceremony of national steering committee of Network of Young Biotechnologists of Bangladesh (NYBB) was held at Dhaka University (DU) recently.
Independence Award winner scientist and professor Dr Hasina Khan was present as a chief guest in the ceremony held at DU Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department professor Kamaluddin Ahmad Lecture Gallery.
President of Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists (GNOBB) and also the chairman of DU Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department professor Dr Zeba Islam Seraj, General Secretary of Bangladesh Association of Biotechnology Graduates (BABG) Dr Md Shahedur Rahman and the chairman of DU Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology department professor Dr Mohammed Nazmul Ahsan were present among others.
A new 23-member steering committee was introduced in the ceremony.
Board of Director of NYBB and assistant professor of DU Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology department Dr Mahbubur Rashid and assistant professor of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology department of Chittagong University Dr Adnan Mannan focused on the election process and future goal of the committee.
Thanking the new committee, Professor Dr Md Shahedur Rahman addressed in the ceremony. Director of National Institute of Biotechnology Dr Md Salimullah greeted the committee through a video massage.
Chief Executive Officer of the organization and also the lecturer of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Department of University of Development Alternative (UODA) Md Arif Khan gave the speech on the future action plan of NYBB.
Board of Director of NYBB and assistant professor of DU Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology department Dr Mustak Ibn Ayub thanked all of the people who took part in the programme.
