A schoolboy reportedly took his own life by hanging himself at his house in Tajpur village of Phultala upazila on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Siam, 16, a grade X student. He was the son of Ataharul Islam Rony of the village.
Mohammad Monir, officer-in-charge of Phultala Police Station, said they recovered the body around 8pm and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy.
It is still unclear why the boy killed himself.
