A total of 29 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims have died of various reasons in Saudi Arabia as of Friday, reports UNB.
Of them, 26 were males and three females, according to a bulletin of the Bangladesh Haj Management Portal under the Religious Affairs Ministry.
It said 24 hajj pilgrims died in Makkah while four in Medina and one in Jeddah.
The latest recorded death was of Mojibur Rahman Khan, 63, hailing from Barishal district. He died in Makkah on Friday.
The bulletin said a total of 112,606 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia till Friday to perform hajj.
Of them, 105,690 went there under private management while 6,916 under government arrangement.
