The government has decided to take the educational activities up to class eight under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education from the existing grade five. Education Affairs Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said this at a meeting between the education ministry officials and eminent educationists at secretariat on Wednesday.‘From now on, all the decisions regarding Class VI, VII and VIII will be the matter of Primary and Mass Education Ministry,’ he said.The meeting was attended by Nahid, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman and top education experts of the country.The decision has been taken in accordance with the 2010 National Education Policy, said the education minister adding that the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will now deal issues of education up to the eighth grade.
