Two persons were killed when a truck hit their motorbike at medical crossing area on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway under Godagari Upazila in the district last midnight, reports BSS.
Police said the deceased were identified as Abdus Samad, 40, and Alam, 35, both of Bidirpur Gonka village under the same upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Godagari Model Police Station, Jahangir Alam said the accident occurred when the Rajshahi bound goods-laden truck collided head-on with the motorbike at around 12.30 midnight.
Local people rushed the injured persons to the nearby Godagari Hospital immediately where the attending doctors declared them dead.
Meanwhile, driver of the truck fled away with his vehicle hurriedly, said the police officer.
