Bangladesh moved one step ahead in the latest FIFA World Ranking announced on Thursday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh, which was placed 183rd in the last FIFA ranking published on June 14, now advanced to the 182nd position in the latest ranking and maintained their improving trend in the FIFA World Ranking, jumping 10 steps ahead within last six months.
Most of the South Asian nations including neighboring India went down in the ranking as India downing two steps behind to rank 103.
Among the South Asian countries, India ranked 103, Afghanistan 149, Maldives 152, Nepal 166, Bangladesh 182, Bhutan 186, Sri Lanka 200 and Pakistan 204.
In the Asian countries, Iran top the list (23rd), followed by Japan and South Korea.
Belgium maintained top slot in FIFA World ranking while Copa America champions Brazil clinched the 2nd slot pushing France to the 3rd place.
